Ladakh is a natural beauty which is incomparable to any other place. Ladakh is pure magic. The terrain, snow-clad mountains, the rivers everything of this place is terrific. One can feel the calmness and can find the peace which we cannot have in our busy city-lives.

Leh- From here you will start your journey. The most important thing is firstly to acclimatize yourself fully. The thin air takes a little time to settle so don’t rush. Take complete rest on first day. A must visit place in Leh is Leh palace- once a royal residence. You can see the past glory of royal jewelry and their ceremonial dresses.

Monasteries of Ladakh-  Cities have high rises, Ladakh have high statues and Gompas of Buddha. The monasteries and the statues depict the culture and history of Ladakh. Artistically sculptured are Thiksey and Hemis dotting the landscape. Worth seeing them. Other monasteries here are Alchi, Stok, Shey, Spituk. Every monastery house old Buddhist artefacts, hand painted thangkas and ancient armoury. 

Rivers and Lakes- Pangong Lake, one of the most famous lakes in Leh Ladakh, derives its name from the Tibetan word, “Pangong Tso”, which means “high grassland lake”. It is situated at a height of 4350m, the world’s highest saltwater lake. It seems as the water of the lake is dyed in blue color and stands contrast to the surrounding arid mountains. It is known to change colors, appearing blue, green and red at different times. The beauty of Pangong lake cannot be described in words, it has to be seen, felt and absorbed within yourself.

Other lakes to be visited are Tso Moriri, Tso Kar, Nyak Tso, Yarab Tso, Mirpal Tso. The views of these lakes is just breathtaking and amazing.

Landscapes and high passes

Ladakh- the land of high passes as it is called is because of the passes like Changla pass, Khardung la pass, situated at over 17,500 feet, which is the highest motor able road in the world.  The 39-kilometre long Khardung La will have you at the edge of your seats with a part of the road being paved and the rest being rocky and gravel laden.

Ladakh is the land of contrasting landscapes which you can see in Nubra and Hunder. Embark a journey to witness the silvery the silvery magnificence of the Hunder Sand Dunes right amidst the luscious valley, and ride the rare double-humped camels.
